Friday June 16th at 6pmSunday July 23rd 10amAug 6 and 20 10 amLet the board be your yoga mat. Whether you are trying yoga for the first time or it’s your first time on a Stand-up Paddleboard, there is no better way to connect with nature and to find yourself floating in the present moment. Following an introduction to paddling, we will get on the water and paddle to a designated location where we will anchor down and begin the class. Our SUP yoga class is designed to help increase your core stability, improve your balance and keep you on your board (although you may go for a dip if you please). This relaxing yoga sequence focuses on breath, body awareness, and alignment. Concluding with a floating rest, we feel the connection to nature and our surroundings.*All equipment is provided and included in pricing.Meet TheresaTheresa’s love of water began at a young age, boogie-boarding and pretending to flip her mermaid tail while diving into the waves on Rhode Island Shores. Theresa grew up playing on boards of all kinds. She convinced her dad to buy her first skateboard at 10 years old, and saved up all her Birthday money to buy her first snowboard at 14. Theresa was introduced to surfing and Stand Up Paddle Boarding later in life but it felt so natural that she could not stay away.
Whether it is adventuring in CT or traveling around the US and Internationally, Theresa always seems to find some water to play in (even if it’s just a puddle to jump in). When Theresa began practicing yoga, she never thought it would be something she could bring to a board. She completed her 200hr RYT in June of 2015 and completed her SUP Yoga Certification and Paddlefit Coach Certification in August of 2016. She teaches yoga in many different settings on Land and can’t wait to share her passions with you on the water!
