Ashtanga yoga is a system of yoga introduced to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures—a process producing internal heat and a purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs.
Our classes are a moving meditation of breath-connected postures. The postures flow together like beads on a string, or a “mala”.
This athletic practice results in improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.
